We are headed into November and we have two important events coming up: Fall Festival on Saturday, November 12th & the Congregation Meeting on Sunday, November 13th. Please consider joining us at these two events. We are in need of President-Elect, Financial Secretary and Trustee. And as for the Fall Festival there are plenty of different opportunities. Just talk to Pauline. We have a place for you!!! This is an opportunity to bring the community in and share our love for God and our church. Please bring your family and friends to check it out! It will be an all-day event filled with food, music, crafts and most importantly the sharing of God’s word. I had the pleasure of helping with a Yard Sale on October 15th. Elizabeth, Marilyn, Doris, Jane, Bev and Dan were a mighty crew we cleaned up and got rid of a lot of things from the Youth House. We talked to a lot of locals about church and our upcoming Fall Festival.

Finally, I’m very grateful in this month of November. I celebrate Thanksgiving as a time of being with family and being thankful for all the many blessings. I am very thankful for all of those who serve on the Council and Elders and all the volunteer roles that make ORLC the church it is. November 1st I will be celebrating 19 years of marriage. I actually met my husband when I was 18 and he was 19 at a dance club. It was love at first sight; we were roommates, best friends, dating and co-workers before finally getting married by Pastor Dave in our beautiful church in 2003. Chris Allen played piano as my sibling sang "Landslide". Jessica, my sister, was my Maid of Honor and I will never forget that day. The look on David’s face as I walked down the aisle. I try and remember that look when we go through rough patches. Which every couple does. And we both try and keep God centered in our marriage. And I try and remember that I’m not perfect, he’s not perfect only our God is. And what a Reckless love he has for us.

Like the Song Providence sings so beautifully…

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God Oh, it chases me down, fights 'til I'm found, leaves the ninety-nine

I couldn't earn it, and I don't deserve it, still, You give Yourself away

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, yeah

I hope to see you all at the Fall Festival!!

Blessings and Love and Light to you and yours, Jade Clark
